CDEL wants to let you know about some additional programming they are offering in the Cook County Suburbs.  Through Age Options, CDEL has received funding to add capacity to our housing programs in light of COVID-19.

We write today to ask that you help distribute this information to your agency.  Early intervention for housing legal issues is key for both renters and homeowners.  CDEL is offering assistance in the following areas:

Landlord Tenant

  • Lockouts

Real Property

  • Succession planning
  • Disputes between co-owners
  • Landlord side evictions
  • Title check ups
  • Property tax exemptions assistance

A program flyer is attached.  Their prescreen phone line - (312) 376-1880 - is open from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday-Friday.

CDEL is currently offering remote outreach presentations and workshops.  These include our SCI Power of Attorney Workshops and Housing Preservation Workshops. The workshops can be done via phone lines or videoconferencing.
