1. What is a vehicle sticker?

A vehicle sticker is a numbered sticker that references your vehicle and ties it to its owner. The vehicle sticker is required to be purchased every year to help fund Village operations including road maintenance. Please be aware that a residential vehicle without a vehicle sticker is prone to being ticketed.

2. Do I need a vehicle sticker?

Vehicle stickers are required for every motorcycle, passenger car, SUV, light truck, commercial vehicle, bus, or other motorized vehicle that you keep or store in the Village overnight on a regular or even semi-regular basis. It is required to purchase a vehicle sticker from the Village even if the vehicle is registered someplace other than the Village. Also, please be aware that a vehicle sticker is required for each vehicle, even if not parked on the street.

3. How much does a vehicle sticker cost?

A basic passenger car costs $20 if it is purchased on time, but costs $40 if it is purchased after the applicable deadline (June 30 if you reside in the Village, or 30 days after you move into the Village or purchase a new vehicle). Senior Residents (Age 62 & Up) are entitled to a $20 discount on each sticker purchased (must be for a vehicle registered with the State in their name - proof of registration required). 

When the senior discount is applied to a regular passenger sticker it makes it free (if purchased on time each year). 

For larger vehicles:

B-Truck: $45

D-Truck: $66.50

F-Truck: $95

Buses: $70

RVs: depend on size and weight.

Please note: Starting January 1 of every year, vehicle stickers only for new vehicles will be 50% off, and will expire on June 30.

4. Where can I purchase a vehicle sticker?

There are three ways to purchase a vehicle sticker:

1. In Person: Please visit the Village Hall during normal business hours (M-F 9-5, Sat. 9-12). If you are 62 years of age or over, please bring identification so that we can confirm your information to receive a $20 discount, rendering the vehicle sticker free of charge.
2. Mail Order: Please print this form, along with a check or money order of $20 (unless you are 62 years of age or over, please view the discount requirements here), and mail to:

3. Purchase Online: Please visit our online order page here and progress through the steps.

Please purchase the necessary amount of vehicle stickers before the late fee activates on July 1, at which point the vehicle sticker will then double in price to $40 each.

5. How often do I need to purchase a vehicle sticker?

Vehicle stickers are valid from May 1st - April 30th, and are required to be purchased each year. If you reside in the Village, you have from May 1st to June 30th to purchase your sticker for that year, or a late penalty will be issued. If a new vehicle has recently been purchased or if you moved to the Village during the year, you have 30 days from the date of purchase or the day you moved in to purchase a vehicle sticker at the regular price; otherwise, the late penalty will be issued.

If you visit the Village Hall to either purchase a vehicle sticker after purchasing a new vehicle or purchase a vehicle sticker(s) after just moving into the Village, please provide your vehicle purchase paperwork, home sale agreement, or rental lease agreement with you as evidence the date was within 30 days to avoid the late penalty.

6. Can I obtain a replacement vehicle sticker?

Yes. If the vehicle sticker is lost or stolen (please file a police report first), the windshield is replaced, or the vehicle is destroyed, a replacement sticker can be purchased for $4. You may also replace your sticker if a new vehicle replaces an old vehicle for the same fee.
