New Residents

Welcome to Schiller Park!

On behalf of the Village Board and our fellow residents, I would like to welcome you to our Village! As a longtime resident, I am sure that you will enjoy living here. Over the coming months we look forward to meeting you whether it be walking down the street, at one of our parks or at a community activity. We are glad you chose Schiller Park as your new home.

We hope the following information will be helpful:

● A vehicle sticker application can be found in the Document Center (Under Administration & Finance). All vehicles housed in the Village need to be registered. We ask that you fill it out and return it within 30 days of moving into town. You will notice that this form includes a section to register your pets as well. We appreciate your cooperation as this information will assist us should your pet stray.
● An application for water service (also in the Document Center under Public Works then Water Service & Billing) will ensure there is no interruption in service and that the new/correct name is on the account.
● Your residence should include 2 large Flood Brothers refuse carts. The larger one with the green/black lid is for regular garbage. The slightly smaller one with the yellow lid is for recycling. Garbage pick-up throughout the Village is on Tuesdays.
● A Village calendar can be provided that contains dates for regular meetings, a list of useful phone numbers as well as some valuable general information about various services.
● If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact one of our friendly staff at 847-678-2550 or stop by Village Hall at 9526 W. Irving Park Road. Regular business hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday and 9:00 AM-Noon on Saturday.
● For your convenience, an after-hours drop box is available near the entrance to the Police Department (next to the stop sign). It is gray with red lettering and can be used to pay water bills, tickets or purchase village stickers. (Please DO NOT use the blue US Mail Box for anything pertaining to the Village)
● Further information can be found elsewhere on the Village website. In particular the Frequently Asked Questions ("FAQ") page contains useful answers on a wide variety of common inquiries.

In closing, we hope like a number of us, you too will make Schiller Park your home for many years to come. We are proud of our community and glad you’re here!
