O'Hare Airport Environmental Review

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is preparing an Environmental Assessment to evaluate the effects of the proposed Airport Terminal Area Plan and changes to air traffic procedures at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The FAA is seeking early involvement and consultation with Federal, state, and local government agencies and officials as well as members of the public regarding this Environmental Assessment.

The FAA invites residents to participate in the scoping process to provide input on the range of issues that will be considered in this Environmental Assessment. Scoping materials outlining the proposed projects and actions, alternatives, and purpose and need are now available at:

The scoping comment period occurs for 45 days and ends on July 9, 2021. You can submit scoping comments via:
