What is the Program?
The Village of Schiller Park is proud to help supply trees to our residents! Trees beautify our neighborhoods, clean our air, and improve property values.
Thanks to a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Urban and Community Forestry Partner Grant Program, and administered by The Morton Arboretum and the Chicago Region Trees initiative, we are able to offer this tree program to our residents. Trees will be available as long as grant funds are available and are placed on first come - first planted basis.
Tree locations & species are subject to Village approval. Resident agrees to fill the gator bag on the new tree three times a week for the first 30 days and to allow the Village to trim the tree.
