The Village sweeps all the streets in town generally twice per month during the period April - November. The sweeping is done on the second and fourth Monday and the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. On Monday the even number addressed side of the street is swept and on Wednesday the odd number addressed side of the street is swept. The only exception to this is that in July and August the streets are swept only once - on the 2nd Monday and 2nd Wednesday. Signs are posted on each block prohibiting parking on the side of the street that will be swept that day. Failure to obey these signs may result in a parking citation. The street sweeping schedule for the year is included in the free calendar available at the Village Hall to assist residents with keeping track of the schedule.

Yes, it is a violation for Village ordinances to park on the street the day a street is scheduled for street sweeping. In order to ensure the Village is able to do a good sweep of a street all vehicles need to be out of the way. All Village streets are marked with signs indicating which day the street will be swept as a warning. Please cooperate with the Village and move your cars on street sweeping day.
