If you have a New Car or are a New Resident

If you are a new resident or have a new car, you have 30 days after your move in day or your car purchase day to register your vehicle to the Village of Schiller Park. If you do not register your car by then, you can face fines and late fees.

 To register a car for the first time, it must be done in person at the Village Hall, 9526 W Irving Park Road. Once a vehicle is registered to the Village of Schiller Park, they will mail out renewal applications. However, make sure to stop by the Village even if this letter does not show up as The Village of Schiller Park cannot be responsible for lost mail.

What to bring?

• Photo ID with Schiller Park Address (if your address is not updated it must be changed within 30 days of moving to the village)
• The car registration with a schiller park address (if your address is not updated it must be changed within 30 days of moving to the village)
• New Resident: their lease agreement or settlement statement as proof of Schiller Park Address to avoid late penalties
• New Car Owner: proof of purchase date for their car to avoid late penalties
